"Please don't tell me that's permanent," said Rose, stiffling her giggles with one hand covering her mouth.
The Doctor - of whom there were several more inches than usual, most of which was a head of some of the puffiest hair she'd ever seen - frowned and tossed the end of his ridiculously long scarf over his shoulder.
"Just a bit of temporal regression, my dear!" he said, grinning madly - the same mad grin, it seemed, that he had no matter which him he was. "Back to my old self in exactly twelve hours."
Rose's hand wrapped around the end of the scarf, wrapping it around her hand to bring him close. "That's time for a lot of things, Doctor. What'll we do?"
His eyes went huge and pleased. "Oh, Rose Tyler," he said, and tweaked her nose, entangling her in the scarf. "I think I have some ideas."
